What You’ll Do
⦁ Support end-to-end payroll processing for exempt and hourly employees with accuracy and timeliness
⦁ Process payroll changes (new hires, terminations, status updates, tax changes, deductions, garnishments)
⦁ Help manage timecards, off-cycle payroll runs, and manual checks
⦁ Partner with the Payroll Manager to validate payroll data and resolve discrepancies before final submission
⦁ Serve as a go-to resource for employee payroll questions, delivering high-quality support
⦁ Maintain payroll records and support compliance with federal, state, and local labor and tax laws
⦁ Support payroll-related leaves of absence and workers’ comp administration
⦁ Improve and document scalable payroll processes and workflows as the company grows
⦁ Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and smooth payroll operations
⦁ Prepare payroll and benefits journal entries for the general ledger
⦁ Reconcile payroll-related GL accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies quickly
⦁ Assist with payroll tax and benefits audits by gathering documentation and data
⦁ Help build and maintain payroll department process and control documentation

What You Need
⦁ 2–4 years of progressive payroll administration experience
⦁ Bachelor’s degree preferred (Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field)
⦁ Strong Excel skills and proficiency with payroll systems (Workday experience strongly preferred)
⦁ Solid knowledge of payroll processes, US labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance
⦁ Multi-state payroll and taxation experience (highly valued)
⦁ High attention to detail and comfort working with complex, sensitive data
⦁ Integrity and discretion with confidential information
⦁ Employee-service mindset with strong communication and follow-through
⦁ Ability to move fast, adapt, and problem-solve in a growing environment
