If you’re the kind of editor who can tighten English and Spanish copy without draining the life out of it, Siege Media is looking for you. This freelance, contracted role is for a bilingual pro who can edit web content fast, fact-check accurately, and serve as the final “ship it” gate before content goes live.
About Siege Media

- Match tone, audience, and client style guides while keeping the writing sharp and readable
- Fact-check names, dates, stats, and claims for accuracy
- Improve structure, clarity, and flow so content reads clean and logical
- Serve as the final approval before client copy goes out or goes live
- Implement feedback from clients and teammates without drama
- Support organic growth by ensuring content quality is consistently high
What You Need
- Strong AP style editing skills and a ruthless eye for detail
- Experience editing for the web, including:
- Long-form guides
- Infographics (copy support)
- How-tos
- Software/tool roundups
- Comparison posts
- Trend reports
- Thought leadership content
- Deep knowledge in at least one niche: health, legal, finance, and/or tech
- Ability to prioritize, hit deadlines, and work independently
- Strong remote collaboration skills and professional communication
- Google Workspace experience
- 2–3 years creating/editing content for both English- and Spanish-speaking companies
- 2–3 years as an editor for a digital publication (preferably reputable sites/blogs) or agency experience
Benefits
Freelance/contract role (benefits not listed in the posting). The upside here is remote flexibility, steady agency-style workflows, and brand-name client work.
Application Notes
You’ll be asked for:
- Resume
- Short intro/cover letter
- Portfolio link with samples in both English and Spanish
- LinkedIn URL
- Why you want to work with Siege Media
- Per-project rate for a 1,000-word article
- Years editing bilingual (Spanish/English) content
- Years editing SEO-focused blogs/articles
- Current location/residency
Quick reality check: they’re screening hard for bilingual editing depth, not “I’m conversational.” Your portfolio needs to show you can edit and elevate in both languages, not just translate.
