This is the role for someone who can take a frustrated patient on the phone and leave them feeling heard, helped, and taken care of. You’ll be the connective tissue between patients, clinicians, and internal teams, owning escalations and smoothing the whole journey from scheduling to billing.

What You’ll Do
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, primarily via phone, with empathy, discretion, and strong follow-through
• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to patient support, scheduling, care coordination, and service recovery
• De-escalate escalated, frustrated, or confused patients using service recovery protocols, escalating when appropriate
• Document interactions thoroughly and accurately in Zendesk and the EHR system
• Act as a patient advocate and liaison across departments to drive timely, effective resolutions
• Identify patterns and improvement opportunities and share feedback with leadership
• Protect patient confidentiality across all communications, systems, and platforms
• Consistently model Midi’s values: compassion, accountability, respect, integrity, and trust
What You Need
• 5+ years in a high-touch, patient-facing role (healthcare or similar environment)
• 2+ years using Zendesk (or comparable ticketing platform)
• 2+ years using Athena (or comparable EHR system)
• 2+ years using Google Workspace (required)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with sound judgment and decision-making
• Experience handling escalations, complaints, or grievances with empathy and discretion
• Bilingual (Spanish or another language) is a plus
