What You’ll Do
- Analyze borrower financials, credit, and property info to determine loan feasibility
- Collect and compile credit histories and other required financial documentation
- Explain loan types, credit options, and terms in plain language borrowers actually understand
- Submit and review loan applications and agreements for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of all borrower and loan information
- Maintain MLO licenses and complete continuing education requirements
- Partner closely with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing to keep loans moving and customers supported
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year experience as a Loan Originator (required)
- Active MLO license (SAFE Act) or ability to obtain upon hire; willing to get licensed in multiple states
- Solid foundation in mortgage products and the loan process
- Strong sales chops with a track record of hitting or exceeding goals
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple files in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
- Adaptable, coachable, and able to work within a team structure
