Schedule
• Fully remote (U.S.)
• Training: 2 weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST
• Production: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST (no weekends)
• Pay: Up to $22/hour, paid weekly
What You’ll Do
• Serve as the first point of contact for members regarding appeals, external medical review, and fair hearings
• Advocate for members, gather required documentation, and clearly communicate next steps to all parties
• Coordinate with internal teams (Claims, Eligibility, Provider Relations, Operations) to resolve member and provider concerns
• Initiate and manage EMR and State Fair Hearing workflows using the HHSC Intake Portal (TIERS), track compliance, and support pre-hearing discussions
• Support Utilization Management administrative processes by collecting and confirming member/provider details and ensuring submissions are complete for clinical review
What You Need
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of foundational Utilization Management experience
• Working knowledge of health plan operations, claims, eligibility systems, and healthcare benefits
• Understanding of medical terminology, plus strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with strong phone and communication skills
