What You’ll Do

⦁ Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, delivering professional communication and a high-touch service experience.

⦁ Verify insurance coverage and benefits in partnership with clinical teams before telehealth appointments.

⦁ Help patients understand billing statements, financial obligations, and payment options with patience and clarity.

⦁ Use Zendesk to resolve billing inquiries quickly and accurately, documenting issues and outcomes along the way.

⦁ Participate in audits to identify billing discrepancies and trends impacting patients and internal teams.

⦁ Support cross-functional initiatives that improve patient experience and streamline billing workflows.

⦁ Assist with registration, scheduling, intake forms, EHR updates, and payment collection when needed.

⦁ Protect patient privacy and safeguard PHI in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

What You Need

⦁ 2–5 years delivering best-in-class patient or customer experience (healthcare or similar environment).

⦁ 1–2 years of billing experience (preferred).

⦁ 2 years of Zendesk experience.

⦁ 2 years of athenaHealth experience.

⦁ 2 years of Google Workspace experience (required).

⦁ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a calm, solutions-first approach.
