What You’ll Do
- Conduct revenue cycle assessments by interviewing clinical department leaders and reviewing workflows for charge capture, coding, and revenue integrity.
- Analyze current revenue cycle performance, identify gaps, and quantify opportunities for financial improvement.
- Own the measurement of net financial impact for assigned initiatives throughout the life of each project.
- Prepare and present findings to client executives and partner with client staff to implement agreed-upon changes.
- Ensure all client deliverables are executed on time and error-free.
- Monitor revenue cycle metrics and support clients in achieving and maintaining strong performance.
- Work with large data sets to model expected reimbursement, interpret trends, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Provide exceptional client service and act as a key leader and point of contact for revenue cycle engagements.
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced, consulting-style environment.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year college degree).
- 5+ years of combined experience in consulting and/or healthcare revenue cycle or clinical operations.
- Strong experience in middle and back-end revenue cycle (Coding, Charge Capture, Revenue Integrity) and/or deep experience in clinical workflows and EMR use.
- Solid understanding of Medicare reimbursement for inpatient, outpatient, and professional billing.
- Strong grasp of payer contracts, with the ability to model expected reimbursement across large data sets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, plus strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of revenue codes, CPT, HCPCS, and healthcare claims.
- Proven analytics and reporting skills, with the ability to join and interpret multiple large data sets and communicate results clearly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel frequently (30–45%) as needed.
