- Fully remote, work from home
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time
- Full time role with steady hours, collaboration with internal teams, and provider facing communication
What You’ll Do
- Complete provider enrollment, credentialing, and recredentialing with government and commercial payers in a timely, compliant way.
- Collaborate with physicians, non physician providers, office staff, management, contracting, and insurers to resolve enrollment issues and maintain positive relationships.
- Explain credentialing and recredentialing submission requirements to providers and practice managers, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and compliance.
- Gather updated provider information from offices, licensing boards, malpractice carriers, and training programs.
- Identify and resolve issues in primary source verification by interpreting, analyzing, and researching key data.
- Proactively track expirations and obtain updated credentialing documents before deadlines.
- Create and maintain matrices, databases, and departmental software records that support enrollment and new provider onboarding.
- Communicate updated payer enrollment information, including provider numbers, to practice operations and related teams.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for tracking organization providers and making data available for leadership and executive requests.
- Look for process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency in the enrollment workflow.
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a physician medical practice with knowledge of payer billing and claims, or direct experience in payer credentialing and enrollment.
- Experience with provider enrollment auditing and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF tools, and related management software.
- Strong problem solving skills and the motivation to learn quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Knowledge of healthcare contracts is preferred.
