As part of the Payroll Partner team, you’ll be the critical bridge between payroll platforms, insureds, and internal teams.
Schedule
- Full-time, remote position (must live and work in the United States, territories excluded)
- Standard business hours, with responsiveness expected during core weekday hours
- High-speed, reliable internet required for remote work
- Collaborates daily via phone, email, and internal platforms (including Slack and Salesforce)
What You’ll Do
- Handle phone, email, and platform-based communication with payroll partners and internal stakeholders
- Maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) set by the Payroll Partner Ops team
- Support policy issuance, renewals, general questions, and follow-up communication
- Respond to partner requests within 24 hours or less
- Process cancellation requests from insureds and partners and manage renewal workflows
- Take ownership of urgent escalations and complex payroll partner questions
- Apply workers’ comp knowledge to policy, billing, and agency questions
- Build strong relationships with partners and internal teams through clear, consistent communication
- Identify root issues, propose solutions, and look for ways to prevent future problems
- Support onboarding and training of new hires, including process training and feedback
- Help test and train on new processes and systems used by the Payroll Pod
- Maintain and update SOPs and training materials as needed
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, technical certificates, or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ year in a high-volume customer contact environment
- 1+ year of insurance customer service, administrative, or sales experience required
- Payroll partner customer service experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional tone
- Ability to navigate and solve advanced to complex issues within multiple platforms
- Solid problem-solving skills with some analytical and critical thinking
- Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong ownership of tasks, timelines, and deliverables
- Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, payment processing systems, and Slack highly preferred
