Schedule
- Full-time, remote role
- Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI
- Two evening shifts per week: 12:00 pm–9:00 pm CST and 10:00 am–7:00 pm CST
- One Saturday shift every 5 weeks
- Office-style work from home with significant time on the phone, typing, and working at a computer
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming calls from customers with account questions and complete callbacks as needed
- Process routine over-the-phone payments accurately and efficiently
- Guide customers to self-service tools, including the online portal, IVR, and other available resources
- Clearly explain interest, statements, due dates, and other account details in a way customers can understand
- Recognize delinquent or potentially delinquent accounts and route calls to the appropriate teams for assistance
- Use company tools to aim for one-call resolutions whenever possible
- Assist with department admin tasks such as working reports, managing emails, and other internal work
- Support new hire training by allowing shadowing, answering questions, and providing progress feedback to management
- Perform other duties as assigned while meeting expectations around accuracy, productivity, and professionalism
What You Need
- Associate’s degree in business, finance, communication, marketing, or a related field OR relevant, applicable experience
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, internet, and email
- Professional phone presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, with the ability to stay calm and respectful in stressful conversations
- Solid typing skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to handle deadlines, multitask, and stay accurate in a high-volume environment
- Reliable, positive, “can-do” attitude and the ability to take direction and work well with others
- Comfort adapting to change and working under time pressure
