Schedule
- Location: Remote – must currently reside in the Eastern Time Zone
- Employment Type: Full time
- Hours: Standard full-time schedule aligned with Eastern Time Zone business hours
- Environment: Work from home in a reimbursement / billing team setting
What You’ll Do
- Submit timely, accurate invoices to payers for all products and services provided
- Review contracts and fee schedules to ensure correct quantities and pricing for billed drugs
- Confirm services/products are properly authorized and required documentation is on file
- Verify that only ordered and provided services/products are billed
- Evaluate payments received for accuracy and apply them correctly to patient accounts
- Ensure secondary claims and patient invoices are sent within 48 hours of payment when needed
- Identify and report overpayments and duplicate payments to the Reimbursement Manager
- Transfer payments belonging to other offices within 48 hours of receipt
- Follow up on submitted claims to confirm receipt and processing status with payers
- Send statements and collection letters when insurers delay payment beyond reasonable timeframes
- Work all denials and follow-ups within 48 hours of receipt
- Maintain compliance with contract terms, fee schedules, and HIPAA requirements
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–6 months of infusion reimbursement or intake/admissions experience (medical billing, claims, or collections experience a plus)
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills (open/edit workbooks, format cells, basic layout and print functions)
- Basic Microsoft Word skills (edit and format text, use basic tools, layout and print functions)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and data
- Ability to follow structured processes while spotting errors and inconsistencies
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently from home while meeting deadlines and productivity expectations
