What You’ll Do
• Oversee accurate and timely billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes
• Conduct audits, approve claims, and assign follow-up tasks to the pre-billing team
• Maintain billing and patient account records in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Ensure proper application of payer contracts and resolve payer conflicts as needed
• Guide leadership in evaluating high-risk payers and claims
• Monitor aged A/R, resubmit overdue accounts, and escalate delinquent balances
• Reconcile reports with the general ledger and support monthly, quarterly, and annual billing goals
• Manage Medicare report reconciliations and assist with annual cost report preparation
• Maintain strong working knowledge of the billing information system and supervise its use
• Reconcile cash receipts and deposits, ensuring proper controls
• Build positive relationships with patients, families, referral sources, and payers
• Protect confidentiality and ensure billing operations follow policy

What You Need
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
• At least three years of healthcare billing and collections experience (home care preferred)
• Strong understanding of billing systems, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and compliance standards
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Proven accuracy in managing detailed financial information
• Ability to collaborate tactfully and work independently with autonomy and flexibility
