What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary liaison for healthcare carriers to establish and maintain data exchange partnerships
- Lead technical analysis of inbound claims files to identify validation or data quality issues
- Map carrier data into the enterprise claims model using SQL and transformation logic
- Monitor and troubleshoot ingestion pipelines, resolving failures and investigating anomalies
- Ensure accurate processing of all claims data across downstream systems, dashboards, and analytics tools
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality control checks to maintain data integrity
- Document business rules, file mappings, transformation logic, and requirements
- Partner with operations, product, engineering, architecture, and data teams to support platform needs
- Mentor junior team members and guide best practices in claims data management
- Identify process improvements that enhance scalability, quality, and workflow efficiency
What You Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, claims processing, or payer-provider data exchange
- Strong understanding of claims formats: EDI 837, NCPDP, and proprietary structures
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets
- Knowledge of coding standards: CPT, ICD, DRG
- Experience with ETL workflows, data warehousing concepts, and cloud data tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, and EDI standards
- Strong communication and project management abilities
- Ability to translate technical requirements into clear documentation
- Experience supporting analytics or enterprise data platforms is a plus
- Independence, critical thinking, and ability to collaborate across teams
