What You’ll Do
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients and providers, offering compassionate, high-quality support
- Advocate for patients and enhance the caller experience with clarity and empathy
- Coordinate access to therapies, conduct follow-up, and connect patients to support programs
- Manage a case load within program requirements
- Collect, validate, and review patient information per program SOPs
- Assist providers and patients with completing and submitting enrollment and assistance applications
- Determine eligibility and manage enrollment for patient assistance and copay programs
- Conduct benefit investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, and related reimbursement tasks
- Provide accurate reimbursement guidance to patients and providers
- Maintain regular phone communication with patients, provider offices, payers, and pharmacies
- Document all interactions in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Identify trends, escalate issues, and collaborate across internal teams
- Apply judgment within established procedures to resolve moderate-complexity cases
- Follow all SOPs and report Adverse Events as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Need
- 3+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy, reimbursement hubs, medical insurance, provider offices, or related healthcare environments
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong keyboarding and Microsoft Word/Excel skills
- In-depth understanding of HIPAA
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefits, with familiarity across commercial and government payers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
