Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Serve as the primary liaison for payroll vendors (Deel, TriNet) and ensure timely, accurate payroll processing
- Audit and validate all payroll data including hires, terms, and compensation changes
- Maintain multi-state and international payroll compliance
- Troubleshoot payroll issues with vendors and employees
Benefits Administration
- Manage U.S. and Canadian health, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans
- Oversee global benefits coordination via Deel and external partners
- Support employees with benefit questions, claims, and issue resolution
- Administer benefits enrollments, terminations, and updates in TriNet and BambooHR
- Manage LOA programs and ensure payroll/benefit alignment during leave
HR Compliance & People Operations
- Maintain accurate records and workflows in BambooHR and related systems
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and policy implementation
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding payroll and benefits setup
- Host new hire onboarding sessions on payroll and benefits
Vendor Management & Process Improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and lead renewal/negotiation cycles
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate processes
- Support reporting, documentation, and compliance maintenance across HR operations
Requirements
- 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration (multi-state required; international a plus)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll laws and benefits compliance
- Experience managing vendor relationships (processing done by Accounting)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a remote or distributed team
- Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations
- Proven success negotiating and managing vendors
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TriNet, BambooHR, and Deel
- Global payroll/benefits coordination experience
- HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation
- Vendor RFP/renewal experience
- Startup or high-growth environment exposure
Benefits
- Salary: $65,000–$72,000 (based on experience and location)
- Fully remote work
