This role sits at the front line of communication, guiding clinicians and families through sample submissions, medical documentation, and results delivery.

- Must be available between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM EST for assigned 8-hour shift

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and electronic inquiries from healthcare providers and patients
- Provide support on specimen submission, consent forms, and order requirements
- Release results to authorized clinicians using established protocols
- Enter and update patient and order data with accuracy
- Resolve missing information requests (insurance, ICD-10/CPT, documentation, demographics)
- Track and manage faxes, forms, queues, and supply requests
- Coordinate customer education around lab processes, billing, and testing policies
- Escalate complex issues when needed and collaborate across teams
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills and professional phone etiquette
- Medical terminology familiarity
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- High accuracy with data entry and medical documentation
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and de-escalate concerns
- Solid written and verbal communication
- Driven, self-motivated, able to focus in a remote setting
Preferred
- 1–3 years in clinical lab, physician office, healthcare, insurance, or billing support
- Bilingual a plus
