- Full-time, Remote (US-based)
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET
Responsibilities
- Review EMS claims for completeness, accuracy, and medical necessity
- Assign correct level of service and payer based on documentation
- Verify signatures and required documentation
- Identify and correct discrepancies and mileage errors
- Process high-volume claims daily and meet productivity deadlines
- Maintain compliance with EMS billing rules and filing timelines
Requirements
- Experience in medical billing required
- Background as Paramedic, EMT, RN, or LPN preferred
- Prior EMS coding experience strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills; MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Typing speed 40+ WPM
- Proven accuracy, attention to detail, and deadline discipline
- Ability to work independently in a quiet remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with performance metrics and productivity tracking
