- Full-Time, Remote
- Monday – Friday, standard business hours (Eastern Time)
- Equipment provided; personal phone required for carrier calls
Responsibilities
- Work submitted insurance claims and resolve pending, denied, or underpaid claims
- Review claims on hold, identify issues, and remove barriers to processing
- Contact insurance carriers to request status updates and provide missing documentation
- Submit appeals when necessary to ensure accurate payment
- Manage claim correspondence via mail, email, and electronic platforms
- Maintain accuracy and compliance across all billing activity
- Meet performance metrics and follow established timelines
Requirements
- Prior experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare revenue cycle preferred
- Minimum typing speed: 40 WPM
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to manage high-volume tasks and meet deadlines
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused in a metrics-driven environment
- Reliable, self-directed, and detail-oriented
