What You’ll Do
- Review patient accounts and balances (self-pay, insurance, and bad debt)
- Research and resolve billing issues with accuracy and patience
- Apply knowledge of EOBs, CPT & ICD-10 codes, HCPCS, DRGs, and payer rules
- Verify documentation, insurance processes, and contract adjustments
- Work in EPIC and follow HIPAA compliance
- Respond to inquiries within 24–48 hours and support internal workflows
What You Need
- High school diploma
- 2+ years billing experience
- Basic healthcare coding and insurance knowledge (ICD-10, CPT, EOBs, UB-04, etc.)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet goals
