Through early engagement, data-informed risk assessments, and compassionate support, Pomelo helps reduce preterm births, NICU admissions, c-sections, and maternal mortality. Following its acquisition of The Doula Network, Pomelo is expanding access to in-person doula services nationwide.
Schedule
- Full-time, remote (U.S.-based)
- Monday–Friday | 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CT
- Must have private, dedicated home workspace
What You’ll Do
- Conduct outbound calls and digital outreach (SMS, email) to engage referred clients and drive doula care enrollments.
- Document and manage all referrals and communications with accuracy and timeliness.
- Match clients with doulas within Pomelo’s national network.
- Collaborate with health plan case managers, providers, and internal teams to streamline referrals and update care partners.
- Manage inbound calls, answering questions and providing education on Pomelo’s services.
- Verify client eligibility using healthcare portals and clearinghouses.
- Meet enrollment goals and contribute to improving access to maternal health support.
- Stay current with healthcare trends and regulations through ongoing training.
What You Need
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience with healthcare referral systems or Medicaid populations
- Excellent organization, documentation, and time-management abilities
- Comfort working in a remote environment with reliable internet access
- Passion for healthcare access, equity, and maternal wellness
- Ability to balance independent work and team collaboration
