- Collaboration with infusion staff, providers, and insurance carriers
What You’ll Do
- Verify and document insurance eligibility and benefits for visits and infusion services
- Secure pre-certifications and authorizations for services and infusion drugs
- Assist with insurance denial mitigation through appeals and peer-to-peer reviews
- Calculate and explain patient financial responsibility
- Connect patients to financial assistance and copay support programs
- Stay updated on payer authorization requirements and regulatory guidelines
What You Need
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2–3 years of medical insurance verification and prior authorization experience (infusion preferred)
- Familiarity with J-codes, CPT, and ICD-10 coding
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
- Previous experience with Athena EHR a plus
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
