Schedule
- Contract role (full-time hours)
- Remote, US-based only
- Collaborative, project-based work cycles
Responsibilities
- Write and refine ELA lessons that help students analyze texts, collaborate, and express ideas through writing, discussion, or presentations
- Develop teacher guidance to support confident instruction and decision-making
- Align lessons with literacy standards while creating meaningful progressions
- Collaborate with content leads, editors, designers, and developers to bring lessons to life
- Apply feedback from content reviews to strengthen lessons and frameworks
- Create correlations, technical documentation, and maintain consistency of voice/style
- Support product development by testing and adapting to new instructional platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Humanities, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in elementary or secondary education with strong ELA content knowledge
- Demonstrated lesson/curriculum writing skills in a collaborative team environment
- Strong critical reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in literature or education-related field
- Classroom teaching experience with diverse middle-grade learners
- Background in literacy engagement and instructional strategies
- Experience integrating multiple genres, media, and technologies
- Comfort with digital platforms and educational tools
Compensation
- $40–$45/hour (contract)
