Schedule
- Full-time, remote (based in NYC)
- Hybrid office culture with 4 days/week in-office (3 days during summer months)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble building permit applications and supporting documents for submission to local/state agencies
- Track application progress, follow up frequently with jurisdictions, and communicate status/timelines to internal teams and clients
- Conduct regulatory research, confirm requirements with local governments, and identify additional forms/fees not listed online
- Support Permit Operations Project Managers with administrative tasks, filings, and client communications
- Maintain and organize trackers, project portals, and file storage systems to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records
- Build relationships with government contacts to help navigate future permitting processes
- Provide responsive communication with clients to foster trust and credibility
Requirements
- Experience in administration, project coordination, or clerical work
- Background in permitting, construction administration, business licensing, real estate due diligence, or regulatory administration preferred
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; confident with phone outreach and negotiation
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team
- Quick learner with strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in G-Suite and ability to quickly adopt new platforms (Asana, Notion, UpCode, proprietary tools)
Compensation
- $58,000 – $75,000 annual salary
