Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based)
- Call center environment, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Central
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for leave-of-absence requests (US and Canada, including federal, state, provincial, military, and company leaves)
- Guide employees through the leave process via phone, email, and platform support
- Determine eligibility, review documentation, and approve or deny leave requests in compliance with policies
- Manage the full leave life cycle, including intake, tracking, recertifications, and return-to-work coordination
- Maintain confidentiality of medical documentation (HIPAA compliance)
- Provide accurate and timely responses while ensuring excellent customer service
- Escalate cases as needed and collaborate with HR and managers to ensure smooth case handling
Qualifications
- 3+ years of demonstrated leave-of-absence case management experience
- Strong knowledge of US federal/state leave laws and Canadian federal/provincial leave laws
- Experience with customer service technologies (telephony, email, case management)
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to research, analyze, and recommend solutions independently
Preferred
- HR service center experience
- Workday experience
- AbsenceTracker platform knowledge
- Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
