Schedule

  • Full-time
  • 100% Remote (U.S. based)
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CT

What You’ll Do

  • Answer incoming patient calls and schedule appointments across multiple locations
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with patients and their families
  • Document and confirm appointments accurately in the system
  • Determine the correct clinician, appointment type, and location based on patient needs
  • Manage incoming faxes from referral sources
  • Route general inquiry calls appropriately
  • Follow up with patients regarding missed or rescheduled appointments
  • Provide best-in-class service and uphold Hanger’s values at every interaction

What You Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience (customer service, call center, medical records, or insurance)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions with accuracy
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and billing systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPC/CPT coding, and insurance regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and detail-oriented
  • Preferred: Bilingual Spanish, experience with O&P, and familiarity with EMR systems (NextGen)
