🧾 About the Role
R1 RCM is looking for a Revenue Cycle Adjustments Specialist to join their remote team. In this full-time role, you’ll work directly with denied hospital claims—primarily for Blue Cross Blue Shield payors in Texas and Louisiana. You’ll resolve complex account issues by analyzing claims, writing appeal letters, and posting adjustments in Epic and Meditech. If you’re experienced with denial resolution and thrive in a metrics-driven environment, this role is for you.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Analyze denied hospital/inpatient claims
• Draft and submit appeal letters to payors, especially Blue Cross Blue Shield
• Work within Epic and Meditech to perform adjustments, inflows, and account closures
• Handle backlog and new inventory of denied claims
• Perform root cause analysis to support claim resolution
• Communicate with payors to verify appeal status and reimbursement updates
• Document account updates based on correspondence from commercial and government payers
• Collaborate with a mentor and support team to meet performance goals
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High School Diploma or GED
• Direct experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield claims in Texas and Louisiana
• Prior work with denied hospital/inpatient claims
• Experience writing appeal letters to insurance companies
• Familiarity with Epic and Meditech systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-based environment
