Natera is hiring a seasoned Manager of Denials and Appeals to lead critical revenue cycle functions that directly impact the company’s bottom line and mission. You’ll head a high-performing team responsible for resolving claim denials, driving root cause analysis, and creating strategies that reduce denial rates across the board. This is a remote, full-time leadership role at the heart of our revenue operations.

• Pay: $105,400–$120,000/year (based on experience and location)

• Scope: Leadership in denials and appeals within a high-volume, fast-paced billing environment


📋 What You’ll Own
• Manage day-to-day denials and appeals operations, ensuring productivity and accuracy
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize claim denials and improve appeal outcomes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with billing, eligibility, and insurance verification teams
• Analyze payer behavior, denial trends, and reimbursement issues; propose and implement solutions
• Lead training, performance reviews, and ongoing development for team members
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards in appeal handling
• Monitor team KPIs and performance metrics; escalate concerns and report insights
• Serve as a liaison for system enhancements and process improvements across revenue cycle departments
• Conduct internal audits and maintain compliance with PHI and HIPAA protocols


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience managing denials and appeals, preferably in a lab or diagnostic setting
• Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and payer reimbursement regulations
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing a team
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills
• Proficient in revenue cycle platforms and interpreting performance data
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills
• Familiarity with HIPAA and handling PHI in regulated environments
