Natera is hiring a temporary-to-hire Eligibility and Prior Authorization Specialist to support key revenue cycle processes that drive operational performance and impact cash collections. You’ll play a vital role in supporting patients and internal stakeholders by managing insurance verification, prior authorizations, and appeals with accuracy and urgency.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Review and follow up on prior authorization cases, escalating only when necessary
• Document all activities, outcomes, and communications in internal systems
• Investigate delayed/denied authorizations and submit appeals with supporting documentation
• Identify trends, escalation triggers, and route unresolved issues
• Analyze revenue cycle performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Serve as subject matter expert for eligibility and prior auth processes
• Collaborate across departments and vendors (claims, appeals, reimbursement)
• Track outcomes related to appeals, payments, and negotiated claims
• Stay current on payer policy changes, eligibility requirements, and authorization guidelines
• Report key trends or risks to leadership that may impact cash flow or patient access
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 3+ years in medical billing, insurance collections, or prior authorization
• Strong grasp of payer utilization policies and appeal processes
• Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, and UB revenue codes
• Proficient in Excel and medical billing systems/portals
• Clear, professional communication and strong writing skills
• Analytical thinker with a process improvement mindset
• Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality
• Associate’s Degree preferred; Bachelor’s or equivalent experience ideal
