🧾 About the Role
Astrana Health is looking for a fluent Cantonese or Mandarin speaker to join their Member Services team as a Customer Service Representative. This full-time, remote role supports members, providers, and health plans through high-volume call handling, appointment assistance, and member outreach. You’ll be on the front lines of care coordination, ensuring every member interaction is handled with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Full-time, remote position aligned with a California-based department
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm PST
• $20.00/hour pay rate
• Requires fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese
• Reports to: Liliana Felix
• Work-from-home with possible walk-in member support (if local)
• Based out of: 9700 Flair Drive, El Monte, CA (remote workers welcome)
📋 What You’ll Own
• Answer inbound calls from members, providers, hospitals, and brokers
• Handle inquiries regarding authorizations, claims, eligibility, and benefits
• Provide clear, respectful communication in English and Cantonese or Mandarin
• Assist with appointment scheduling, transportation, and provider assignments
• Manage documentation and ticketing in company CRM and internal systems
• Conduct outbound calls for follow-up, member outreach, and escalations
• Translate for DME or pharmacy needs (Spanish/Chinese)
• Resolve walk-in and phone-based member concerns with empathy and accuracy
• Support annual surveys, grievances, health diary logistics, and mail returns
• Participate in concierge services to help guide new members during IPA transfers
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of customer service or call center experience
• Fluency in either Cantonese or Mandarin (required)
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent phone etiquette and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable discussing medical terminology and benefits
• Prior healthcare experience a strong plus
