🧾 About the Role
Symetra is hiring a Benefits Specialist to manage a book of business across life, disability, and supplemental health products. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers, and internal teams—handling everything from renewal strategy and billing resolutions to enrollment support and product education.
âś… Position Highlights
• $28.93–$48.24/hour + annual bonus eligibility
• Full-time, remote position (U.S.-based)
• Primary service liaison for accounts (100–499 lives)
• Partner with sales executives on client growth and retention
• Up to 5% travel (for enrollment meetings, benefit fairs, etc.)
📋 What You’ll Own
• Provide top-tier service for a designated block of in-force business
• Resolve complex service issues (billing, claims, data feeds, etc.)
• Educate clients on Symetra processes, GO portal, and product value
• Manage renewals from census collection through negotiation
• Attend implementation calls to support state-mandated coverage rollouts
• Coordinate with sales and account management teams on business expansion opportunities
• Track and report proactive client engagement activities
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement projects

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Comfort interpreting and communicating contract provisions
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Persistent yet professional approach to solving customer issues
