About the Role

The Social Media Strategist is responsible for the support and execution of Hyland’s social media strategy to grow our online presence and amplify marketing efforts to increase overall brand awareness and affinity.

What you will be doing

  • Community management of social media channels including publish respond engage and cultivate strategic conversations with industry influencers
  • Create engagement strategies for and manage employee social advocacy program & platform
  • Create & manage organic social media editorial board that collaborates across executives & internal stake holders to support media campaigns and brand
  • Create exec strategic organic social media engagement plan including editorial editorial calendar & content and publish on exec LinkedIn channels
  • Create and manage organic industry influencer plan
  • Monitor track and report on social media KPIs that tie to quality growth trends related to alignment with industry
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends best practices and technologies
  • Develop competitor social media watch program and report on trends
  • Assist in crises monitoring when needed
  • Create and manage social media strategy for corp channels and corp events 
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to potential customers; develop and maintain strategic working relationships OR Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
  • Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends
  • Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on X abilities of team
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information 
  • Support brand standards and adhere to editorial governance to ensure social media content is consistent with the Company’s brand voice style and tone
  •  Look for opportunities to increase brand exposure for Hyland in aligned and adjacent markets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as Social Media Strategist in technology sector
  • 8+ years of experience in social media marketing 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of successful social media campaigns in the tech sector
  • Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO content marketing and digital advertising
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to developing team members
  • Up to 5% travel time required

Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements:  base salary range of $100,000 -$125,000 and eligible for benefits
