About the Role
As a Leave Administrator, you will work as part of a team and manage leave programs for North American business units, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
**We are open for remote but prefer someone based near Dayton, OH or Alpharetta, GA
Responsibilities
- Managing short-term Disability (STD) & FMLA programs, coordinating with state leaves, including counseling employees on leave applications and ensuring timely adjudication of claims by the Third Party Administrator (TPA)
- Entering leave data into the HRIS system and verifying accurate time reporting, including STD elimination periods
- Coordinating with Payroll for pay adjustments and assisting employees and managers with Return to Work (RTW) plans
- Partnering with HR, employees, and TPA to facilitate Long-term Disability (LTD) applications and providing guidance on benefits and compensation during LTD
- Administering military leave policies, updating HRIS, and managing any pay adjustments as needed
- Managing RELX Modern Family leave in accordance with company policy and overseeing state-specific leave requirements
- Administering Workers Compensation claims across all U.S. divisions and ensuring timely submission of First Reports of Injury to the TPA
- Managing STD, LTD, and other leave types for Canadian employees as necessary
Requirements
- Have proven experience in leave administration.
- Have an exceptional attention to detail
- Be capable of effectively interacting with employees, managers, HR partners, and Payroll
- Possess outstanding customer service skills
- Be able to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Have experience with Workday and/or AbsenceOne (Sedgwick).
