Academic Partnerships assists primarily regional universities in increasing their access and impact by making their academic programs available to students online. With limited supervision, this position is responsible for advising undergraduate and graduate students regarding admissions and degree completion requirements as well as enrolling students for the University’s graduate and undergraduate program. This includes developing academic plans for degree or certificate completion following established guidelines.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit and respond to prospective graduate and undergraduate students in a timely manner, using a variety of outreach tools and techniques including telephone, text, and email, and assure prospective students are qualified and interested to enter a program of study.
  • Conduct student appointments to provide program information to prospective students.
  • Advise prospective students on admissions requirements, degree options, and requirements, including the transfer of academic credits, and financial obligations.
  • Ensure new students are oriented to the University policies and procedures prior to enrollment.
  • Conduct follow-up activities for proper advising of undergraduate and graduate students throughout the application and enrollment process.
  • May participate in prospective student engagement activities, like information sessions and/or education fairs.
  • Demonstrate effective skills utilizing EdVantage CRM software and follow Synergis Education contact strategy.
  • Exhibit effective management of assigned student lead base.
  • Display competency in report and data management of student database to achieve goals.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and company policies (e.g., FERPA, Clery Act  and Synergis Education Employee Handbook).
  • May assist in the development and implementation of approved marketing campaigns to prospective students to generate interest in University classes, certifications, or degree programs as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university;
  • Five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Experience in higher education market and industry is preferred
