The health care system is still evolving at a rapid pace. Technology is driving new advances in how patient care is delivered and how it’s reimbursed. As part of our Recovery and Resolutions team, you’ll help understand and overcome errors in claims processing. You’ll have all the tools and backing you need to help manage subrogation files, negotiate settlements and ensure adherence to compliance policies. This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Investigation, recovery, and resolution of all types of claims as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers, and government entities
- Initiate phone calls to members, providers, attorneys, and other insurance companies to gather coordination of benefits.
- Investigate and pursue recoveries and payables on subrogation claims and file management.
- Process recovery on claims
- Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems.
- 2+ years of claims or collections experience
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
- Successfully complete all appropriate Optum training courses as set by leadership.
- Complete all required client training.
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Ability to work full-time, 8:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the health care industry.
- Experience working with claims and/or recovery.
- Experience using claims platforms such as UNET, Pulse, NICE, Facets, Diamond, etc.

- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $22.45 – $43.89 per hour.
