Erie Humboldt Park Health and Dental Center
Responsibilities:
- Answers all telephone inquiries regarding the daily appointment schedule, provider/clinic staff availability, Erie services and general patient information.
- Schedules appointments for patients at various facilities
- Responsible for updating patient’s demographic and insurance information at time of scheduling the appointment.
- Verifies insurance
- Pages nurses and providers as needed
- Provides appropriate routing and handling of all telephone calls
- Redirects calls as needed and monitors voice mail as required.
- Patient Satisfaction – Must provide excellent customer service to all patients and assist them at all times.
- Maintains adherence to established metric and quality requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- One year of call center experience required
Preferred:
- Healthcare operations or administration experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to type at minimum 25 words per minute
- Experience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Previous work from home experience

Erie’s Patient Access Representatives will be working Full Time- 40 hours per week. These hours will be worked within Erie’s Hours of Operation Monday – Saturday. Must be able to work flexible hours which may include evenings and weekends.
Remote training and work schedules available. Must successfully meet applicable metrics. Occasional travel to Chicago call center location at 2750 W. North Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 may be required.
