Purpose of position
The Implementation Specialist owns the Retirement Plan new business onboarding process from point of sale through first deposit. The Implementation Specialist is the essential and central point of contact for communications and consultations with clients, financial advisors, and recordkeeping partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and partners
- Educate Clients about their document provisions and plan operations
- Set realistic and appropriate expectations regarding the implementation process and timelines
- Acquire and review conversion records necessary for ongoing administration
- Coordinate activities and delegate tasks to clients, partners and internal Definiti teams
- Provide detailed responses to client and advisor questions regarding the plan
- Analyze accuracy of data before and after entry into the Definiti administration systems
- Prompt and accurate tracking of all onboarding/conversion requirements
- Stay current with retirement plan industry trends, including impact of regulatory changes
- Understand how our internal processes interact together, at both team and organizational levels

Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in retirement plan industry
- Experience in high-touch, direct client service
- Client onboarding experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent projects
- Large, complex plan administration experience preferred
- Retirement plan implementation or conversion experience preferred
- ASPPA, NIPA or CEBS credentials or equivalents preferred
