Job Description:
Coram/CVS is looking for a high energy health professional to join our national team as a Test Claim specialist. You will be responsible for reviewing claims run by our automated system and running manual test claims through our CE2000 System to confirm drug authorization needs or provide estimated copays for our pending patients. This rewarding opportunity allows you to work closely with our Patient Intake Coordinators and Insurance Providers to secure In-Home IV Therapy for Coram/CVS specialty infusion patients.
We believe that a Test Claim Specialist plays a key role in creating a positive experience for our patients. In this dynamic and fast paced role, you will be responsible for obtaining authorizations for both our new, and existing patients. This will allow us to process timely prescription orders, while demonstrating exceptional customer service to our referrals, insurance carriers and patients.
This role will require an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage as well as knowledge of government and patient assistance programs.

This is a full-time, permanent, with benefits and is not through an agency. Typical work day is 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday with the hours varying from 8:30am – 8pm CST, weekends and Holiday shifts will be asked for on occasion. This position is 100% remote from anywhere in the US.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 17.00
Maximum: 27.90
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience working in a healthcare environment
Previous experience working with prior authorizations
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Third-Party Vendors
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Pharmacy, PBM, or Specialty Pharmacy experience
Experience working with healthcare insurance verification
Previous experience with medical billing procedures
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
