Summary
As a Billing Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role on the RCM Team driving our members’ billing experience from beginning to end. You’ll support members through our phone, Athena portal, and email channels. You’ll also work cross-functionally with other teams to ensure member billing issues are resolved.
In This Role You’ll…
- Work directly with members who are reaching out to us to resolve a billing issue.
- Communicate with other operations team members and the RCM Team to resolve member billing issues.
- Upload receipts and superbills to the member’s portal account.
- Collect and resolve past due balances, providing refunds when applicable.
- Explain share of cost and billing issues to members.
- Update and maintain members’ insurance information.
- Escalate more complex billing issues to an RCM Specialist/ Team when necessary.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to support distressed members and escalate when needed.
- Gather and share member sentiment with your department lead and offer recommendations for improvement.
- All other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements
- This role is full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30 PST
- No prior billing experience necessary – we’re willing to train the right person!
- This role requires you to have a private workspace that allows you to adhere to HIPAA regulations while communicating with members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in adherence with HIPAA Privacy laws – must pass writing assessment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
