We are remote first forever with a 4 day workweek that finishes every Friday at 1pm.
The Role
We are seeking our first Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you’ll be expected to own the sales order and invoicing process, ensuring our customers are billed on a regular basis and in a timely manner. You will navigate customer procurement processes and proactively work with our sales team to obtain information needed to do so. You will also be following up on open and past due invoices on a regular basis and maintaining the billing inbox to ensure all requests are responded to.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue invoices out to customers on a daily basis and ensure they are submitted in accordance with customer requirements
- Maintain customer contracts
- Follow up with open invoices and escalate issues when needed
- Manage our customer billings email inbox
- Respond to customer requests
- Assist with the month-end close, as needed
- Assist with external audit requests
- Recommend process or system improvements
Practical stuff we anticipate you having
- At least one year prior accounts receivable experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software (Netsuite experience a plus!)
- Customer service orientation
- An eye for detail
