The Student Advocate is responsible for managing a caseload of students across multiple schools. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, establishing initial connection to new students, monitoring student outcomes, and conducting strategic outreach and providing assistance to students in need of support.

- Become familiar with onboarding requirements for Stride schools, as well as related school policies for multiple schools as assigned;
- Utilize appropriate internal tools to document communication and follow-up with families;
- Work across multiple schools and programs simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and implementing proper procedures;
- Analyze information, identify potential problem areas, and contact the appropriate person to assist with resolving the issue;
- Identify assigned students who may be in need of academic, engagement, or attendance help and make the appropriate intervention per team policies;
- Understand and identify resources within school and corporate programs to help students take advantage of opportunities and assistance available;
- Increase professional knowledge and skills by attending required staff meetings, participating in local and national professional development opportunities, and seeking external learning opportunities as applicable;
- Assist other schools and team members when necessary;
- Participate in team meetings and trainings;
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six (6) months of customer service experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Available to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Prioritize tasks and complete them within a given time frame
- Customer service focus
- Adaptable and comfortable working at a fast-pace
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Work independently with minimal guidance
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS O365 Suite.
- Ability to clear required background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or some college completed
- Experience with online learning in K-12
- Prior experience working in a school-setting

- This is a home-based position. This position is open to residents of, and may be performed remotely from Washington, D.C., and from any state.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.
- We anticipate the salary range to be $13.65 to $21.94 per hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
