As our Childcare Care Coordinator, you will partner and directly report to a Childcare Care Team Lead and work with a Childcare Care Manager. In this role, you will take ownership in helping families navigate childcare support across areas such as securing in-home help, finding the right tutor and educational resources, locating and vetting childcare facilities, and other childcare support projects. You will also have an opportunity to continue evolving your team’s experience outside the scope of Childcare for cross-functional team support and growth opportunities. While the primary focus is on childcare, team members are also expanding their functionality at Wellthy to include supporting in-home supports, covid-19 care facility care, mental health support, and other tasks as they become comfortable.
You will report directly to a Team Lead and Care Manager.
To be successful in this role:
- Help customers (Care Team) who are caring for someone with a childcare situation, by using your expertise, skills, and judgement to advise, research, coordinate, that will help a family save time, money, or reduce their stress.
- Have a strong understanding and be sensitive to the care needs of a working family.
- Work closely with the Childcare Adviser Team on In-Home childcare needs and local childcare facility searches.
- Be resourceful in finding activities, opportunities and resources based on families needs, special needs and requests.
- Be able to develop a clear understanding of how we support families through finding private hire caregivers (includes being comfortable doing interviews with candidates, vetting candidates by calling references, speaking with families, requesting background checks, etc.)
- Be assertive with contacting care facilities to gather information needed about their services, pricing, discounts, programs, curriculums, etc.
- Learn and contribute to other care-related areas for continued growth and development and supporting during peak periods
- Support with updating and improving Wellthy Guides and Community Resources.
- Assist with other non-client-specific work including, but not limited to: contributing to the team culture; writing and advising for childcare-related guides; supporting pilot programs; and demonstrating a teamwork attitude by assisting other service team members.
- Support with panel discussions, employer partner education and the education of employees on Wellthy’s childcare services.
Training and Onboarding
You will go through a robust training program that includes hands-on work that will set you up for success within the following areas:
- Technical knowledge
- Use of the Wellthy platform
- Customer service
- The Wellthy way of communicating
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, such as healthcare, customer service, and/or administrative support
- 1+ years in childcare or in-home care role with an interest in building a better childcare experience for families
- Ability to navigate and adapt to evolving processes and learnings with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to adjust ways we support families and provide out-of-the-box ideas and solutions to help families access childcare services that align with Wellthy’s services and best practices
- Ability to manage a steady increase in care projects, some that may require their complete attention without the support of Care Advisers.
- Strong communication skills, with a keen ability to address areas of bottlenecks or challenges alongside your direct report
- Flexibility to be able to adjust to the fluctuation of projects (low periods where other tasks outside of childcare may be assigned and high periods where projects are moving quickly and project load will be at capacity).
- Excitement to join a very supportive and integrated childcare team who works closely to support one another and other teams with a “can do” attitude
Qualifications that are preferred but not mandatory:
- Proficiency with macOS systems, GSuite, Slack, and 1Password
- Providing ongoing, hands-on support for complex healthcare situations
- Experience creating high-touch customer journey experience
- Proficiency in more than one language
Salary
The starting wage is $22 per hour of work (including training)

Location:
This is a fully remote position. Our Wellthians are located throughout the United States but we are currently not accepting candidates in the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.
