🧾 About the Role
Routeware is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Collections Specialist to join our finance team. You’ll play a key role in driving down DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) by engaging directly with customers to resolve outstanding balances. Through clear communication and savvy coordination, you’ll help ensure payments are collected on time while maintaining positive relationships with clients and internal departments.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to resolve delayed payments
• Investigate billing issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes
• Track and document reasons for non-payment within financial systems
• Draft and send A/R statements, collection letters, and updates
• Understand and communicate invoice details, purchase orders, and credit memos
• Monitor and escalate recurring payment issues
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret and explain financial documents and billing processes
• Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving mindset
• Experience using Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
• Preferred: Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Tesorio
• Bonus: Experience with Stripe, Authorize.net, High Radius, or other payment platforms
