🧾 About the Role
Savista is seeking a Lead Accounts Receivable Specialist to take charge of complex billing functions and support the success of the AR team. In this remote leadership role, you’ll manage high-level follow-ups, guide team members, and assist with onboarding and training—all while navigating the evolving landscape of healthcare reimbursement.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Lead by example, performing all duties of AR Specialist I & II
• Conduct claim follow-ups, resolve denials, and research payments via EOBs
• Contact payers by phone or written correspondence to secure payment
• Update and maintain patient and insurance records across client systems
• Verify benefits, authorizations, ICNs/DCNs, and claim eligibility
• Secure required medical documentation
• Utilize reporting tools to monitor progress and prioritize claim resolution
• Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for complex accounts and team escalations
• Assist with training new hires and building content for training modules
• Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 3+ years of medical billing or collections experience
• Deep knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, NCCI coding
• Mastery of billing guidelines and claim forms (UB04/1500)
• Expert understanding of payer contracts
• Familiarity with EMRs and revenue cycle tools
• Intermediate to advanced Excel & Word proficiency
• Strong communication, organization, and mentorship skills

✨ Preferred Experience
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Paragon, Allscripts, etc.
• Working knowledge of Medicare DDE systems
• Understanding of government payer regulations
