🧾 About the Role
GovCIO is hiring a Procurement Administrator (Developmental) to join our growing procurement and subcontracts team. This is a fully remote role (U.S.-based only), with optional onsite availability in Fairfax, VA or Huntsville, AL. You’ll gain hands-on experience with federal acquisition processes, procurement systems, and contract administration while supporting critical government contracting operations.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Set up new vendors in GovCIO’s accounting system
• Maintain and audit vendor data, certifications, and documentation
• Support procurement folder creation, contract checklists, and compliance files
• Assist in drafting RFPs, RFQs, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements
• Learn and apply the FAR/DFARS and related government contracting procedures
• Track and process procurement records, insurance certificates, and modifications
• Support post-award activities and subcontract closeouts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and coordination
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree in business, math, accounting, economics, or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, contracts, or admin work
• Detail-oriented with strong reading comprehension
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Eager to learn federal procurement standards and build a long-term career
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and proactive team player
