📋 What You’ll Own
• Verify patient eligibility and authorization for services
• Investigate and resolve unpaid or denied claims
• Research EOBs and payer policies to identify payment issues
• Contact payers to secure claim resolutions and reimbursements
• Review billing data, resubmit claims, and write technical appeals
• Document interactions and updates in client systems accurately
• Follow up on underpayments using contract data and payer guidelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally and escalate clinical denials when needed
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, FDCPA, and internal protocols
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of hands-on A/R follow-up in healthcare or hospital systems
• Familiarity with UB-04 forms, EOBs, and denial management
• Strong experience with payer portals, appeals, and re-submissions
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel and data entry accuracy
• Clear communication and documentation skills
• Self-motivated with strong time management in a remote environment
• Able to hit performance goals while staying detail-oriented
