Sharecare is hiring a full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist to process release-of-information (ROI) requests. This is a detail-heavy, remote-based role that ensures patients’ privacy is respected and protected, while requests are handled accurately, quickly, and in full compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Process and fulfill release of information requests
• Scan, upload, and transmit medical records accurately
• Validate authorizations and maintain compliance
• Perform quality control on all document releases
• Respond to calls, mail, and faxes regarding medical record requests
• Keep files and workspaces clean, organized, and secure
• Learn new processes and tools as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and requesters
• Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state laws
• Follow all client and company procedures and dress codes
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience in a medical records or similar environment preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling sensitive information
• Able to type at least 50 WPM
• Familiarity with fax, copier, and scanning equipment
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Able to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work onsite when required
