Join the West Virginia University Health System as a full-time Reimbursement Analyst focused on audit and regulatory work. You’ll analyze financial data, prepare Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and work cross-functionally to ensure accurate reimbursement filings. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Prepare third-party cost reports (Medicare, Medicaid, CHAMPUS) and handle amendments
• Coordinate audits and gather financial data across departments
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Maintain software updates related to cost reporting systems
• Build reimbursement budget models aligned with regulatory changes
• Monitor interim rate calculations, settlements, and third-party receivables
• Manage Medicaid DSH surveys and audit reviews
• Produce monthly contractual reserve analyses and prepare journal entries
• Handle wage index data, occupational mix surveys, and responses to Medicare
• Participate in team projects, meetings, cross-functional planning, and improvement initiatives
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
• 3+ years experience in finance or accounting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Solid knowledge of Excel and financial systems
• Excellent communication skills to interact with auditors and internal teams
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Willingness to stay current on state and federal reimbursement regulations
