🧾 About the Role
UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Provider Customer Service Representative to support healthcare professionals via calls, live chat, and email. As a frontline advocate, you’ll be responsible for resolving claim, billing, and eligibility issues with accuracy and empathy—often on the first interaction. This remote role is designed for individuals who can multitask across multiple systems while keeping providers informed, supported, and satisfied.


Position Highlights
• $17.74 – $31.63 per hour (based on experience & location)
• Full-time, Non-exempt
• 100% Remote (must reside in North Carolina)
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 9:35 AM – 6:05 PM EST
• 11 weeks of paid virtual training, full benefits, 401(k), and equity options


📋 What You’ll Own
• Handle 50–70 provider contacts daily via phone, chat, and email
• Troubleshoot claim issues, benefit inquiries, billing concerns, and prior authorizations
• Triage escalations and resolve issues to avoid repeat contacts
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate and timely solutions
• Promote self-service tools and support providers in using them
• Navigate across more than 30 internal systems to gather information


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of customer service experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, system-heavy environment
• Typing speed of 35–40 WPM with 90%+ accuracy
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and written communication skills
• Must live in North Carolina with a distraction-free remote workspace
• Ability to work full-time with occasional OT, weekends, or holidays if needed
