Vital Care, the premier pharmacy franchise network for home infusion, is seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to support our Revenue Cycle team. In this 100% remote role, you’ll manage the collections process for home infusion claims, reduce denials and bad debt, and help drive revenue performance across our nationwide network of pharmacies. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Review and follow up on outstanding home infusion claims to secure timely payments
• Engage payers and patients directly to resolve collection issues
• Analyze Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), denials, and remittance documents to determine next steps
• Submit appeals for denied claims with proper documentation and follow payer-specific guidelines
• Investigate benefit eligibility for pharmacy and medical third-party claims
• Track and document all case activity, payer correspondence, and resolution steps
• Communicate collection status and trends to franchise partners and internal teams
• Identify billing issues and recommend process improvements to prevent repeat errors
• Educate patients on their financial obligations before therapy begins
• Contribute billing expertise to training programs and support nurse billing as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 2–5 years of home infusion billing and/or collections experience required
• Minimum 2 years of home infusion therapy experience
• High school diploma + specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, or collections
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with empathy and professionalism
• Proven success with various payer types and navigating payer-specific systems
• Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Skilled in MS Office Suite and pharmacy billing applications
• Attention to detail and investigative thinking in post-payment reconciliation
• Previous remote work experience is a plus
