Velera, a premier credit union fintech service provider, is hiring Fraud Detection Representatives to protect consumers and credit unions from financial threats. You’ll be on the front lines—reviewing suspicious activity, analyzing fraud trends, and taking action to prevent loss. This role blends investigative focus, call center efficiency, and real-time decision making.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Investigate fraud alerts triggered by Falcon Fraud Detection
• Monitor high-risk transactions to identify new or emerging fraud tactics
• Handle lost/stolen reports with precision to limit liability
• Place/receive calls to verify account activity and gather details
• Maintain accurate records, flag patterns, and escalate serious cases
• Collaborate across departments and communicate with empathy under pressure
• Hit performance goals related to quality, call volume, and attendance
• Navigate multiple systems efficiently in a high-volume environment
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or GED (college business courses preferred)
• 6+ months in a customer service or call center role
• Experience with fraud detection or investigation a plus
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Tech proficiency (Windows, CRM, multitasking systems)
• Calm under pressure, capable of balancing member experience with risk mitigation
• Comfortable working non-traditional hours
